The panel production process of our company is explained below, in a brief and concise manner.
| 1. Supply of poplar wood | |
![]() | Industrias Monzon begins its process by purchasing poplar wood. All the wood that Industrias Monzon uses comes from industrial use timber farms, either from private estates or public tenders, in line with its strict environmental policy. Our specialist personnel selects the best batches at the actual timber farm to thus obtain an excellent quality product. |
| 2. Bark removal from trunks | |
![]() | Once at the production plant, the first step in the process is to cut the trunks into manageable pieces and to remove the bark from the trunks for later handling. |
| 3. Optimisation and development | |
![]() | In a second phase and using the most advanced technology in this field, a machine digitalises the trunk by means of laser, calculating the optimum lamination centre to make maximum use of the wood. |
| 4. First classification of sheets | |
![]() | After laminating the trunks, an automatic artificial vision process analyses the chromatic changes and defects of the sheet. It also controls the humidity and classifies the wood into three categories, which will be used for one purpose or another. The drying process will also be determined depending on the different parameters. |
| 5. Drying and second classification | |
![]() | After separating the sheets into qualities, the wood goes on to the drying process. The humidity of the wood is controlled at all times and another selection process is carried out to separate the sheets into three different qualities. (B, BB, C). |
| 6. Formation and pressing | |
![]() | The next process consists in leaving the wood to rest to stabilise its temperature and humidity. Later, depending on the use to be made of the wood, it is prepared to be glued and pressed in order to transform it into panels of the size and thickness requested by our customers. |
| 7. Calibration, sanding and cutting | |
![]() | After obtaining the panels, they are analysed one by one and submitted to a sanding and cutting process to remove irregularities, in order to leave the panel surface in optimum conditions for the customer. The last step is to cut the panels into the sizes requested by the customer. |
In all the processes the wood undergoes very strict quality controls. No waste is produced, only by-products, thus optimising the use of the wood and contributing once again to our commitment with the environment.
